UN Tourism General Assembly
An AI-Powered Digital Platform for the 26th Session of the UN General Assembly for Tourism
A Personalised Experience for 114 Countries
For the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, Future Workshops designed and built an end-to-end digital platform powered by AI to support the 26th Session of the United Nations General Assembly for Tourism in November 2025. The platform provided a unique, personalised experience for delegates representing 114 countries.
The solution included a native mobile app for iOS and Android, an AI concierge named Noura, a companion website, and an admin console with content management capabilities. AI Concierge: Meet Noura
Noura, the platform's AI-powered assistant, provided delegates with personalised recommendations and travel support throughout the event. Available via voice and text, Noura helped delegates navigate everything from agenda planning to local restaurant reservations.
The AI concierge was designed to learn each delegate's preferences and deliver a tailored experience from the moment they completed onboarding. Noura became a key part of the delegate toolkit alongside features like tour guide matching, wayfinding, and landmark notifications.
Your Smart Event Companion
The mobile app served as each delegate's personalised hub for the event. The home screen surfaced their agenda, covered experiences, and toolkit features including the Noura AI Assistant and tour guide matching, all updated in real time.
Delegates could browse and book curated experiences courtesy of the Ministry of Tourism, receive location-aware landmark notifications, access a comprehensive welcome guide to Saudi Arabia, and manage their full event schedule from a single interface.
Multi-Language Support Across 6 Languages
With delegates arriving from 114 countries, language support was essential. The platform was fully localised across 6 languages with 4,381 words translated per language.
The admin console supported content management with country-level segmentation for push notifications, allowing organisers to communicate with delegates in their preferred language. Over 6,200 notifications were sent during the event.
End-to-End Digital Platform
Beyond the mobile app, the platform included a fully responsive companion website featuring the event agenda, media centre, a guide to exploring Saudi Arabia, and links to flight, hotel, and visa services. The website drove app downloads and provided a public-facing presence for the event.
The admin console provided organisers with user and agenda management, country-segmented notifications, experience management, bilateral meeting coordination, and 20 custom API endpoints.
The platform was delivered across 8 app versions over 4 weeks, with 79 enhancements shipped.
